5. Chuck Palumbo Hated His Last WWE Gimmick

Without doubt, Chuck Palumbo's most famous character in WWE was one tied to Billy Gunn. As 'Billy & Chuck', the tag-team made headlines with their faux gay wedding in the latter months of 2002. Eventually, the entire thing was revealed to be a publicity stunt, which ruined the popularity of the team. The big man's last gimmick was one of the biker. Before departing the promotion in November, 2008, Chuck played a persona closely related to his real life fondness for motorcycles. During that time, he was paired with Michelle McCool onscreen, but the kayfabe relationship fell apart once Jamie Noble became involved. It was around this time that Palumbo started to sour on the idea. Seeing pro wrestling as very much something children should be able to enjoy, Chuck didn't enjoy the domestic violence insinuations of the angle. By the time he was let go from his WWE contract, he ascertains that he wasn't entirely gutted, because the concept was one he despised. As the bleach blonde partner of Billy Gunn, he had a blast, but not so much towards the end of his career.
