2. Shelton Benjamin Used The Undertaker's Music In College
Long before he was known as the 'Gold Standard' in WWE, Shelton Benjamin was a stand out collegiate athlete. His high school wrestling record makes for phenomenal reading. Racking up 122 wins, Benjamin only lost on 10 different occasions. Moving on from high school to college, Shelton continued that success, and even had a hand in training Brock Lesnar during his formative years. Alongside his love of Amateur wrestling, Benjamin was also a big fan of the then-WWF throughout the 1990's. Some of his favourite performers included the likes of Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart and The Undertaker. By far, 'Taker was his favourite character, something that would become prevalent during the man's college years. In college, Benjamin and his wrestling team mates were allowed to pick their own music to signal their arrival on the mats. Almost hilariously, Shelton Benjamin chose The Undertaker's trademark entrance theme. For those who didn't follow pro wrestling, it must have been strange to see the mat-based technician approach a bout to the strains of a funeral march.
