7. Jonathan Coachman Nearly Used Human Growth Hormone In WWE

These days, Jonathan Coachman has carved a great career for himself with ESPN. It was this career with the sports network which prompted Coachman to leave WWE in 2008, having worked for the pro wrestling giant since 1999. At first, he was used as a backstage interviewer, but also provided commentary for lower-level shows like Metal and Sunday Night Heat. Something which wasn't common knowledge during this time was that 'Coach' was training to be an actual in-ring performer. Looking to beef up and prepare himself for the size-obsessed World Wrestling Federation main roster, Coachman started thinking about using Human Growth Hormone (HGH). Even later in his run, he was interested, but eventually decided against it. The main reason for turning down the drug was that Coachman felt it could harm any future career with ESPN, something he wanted to pursue. During a radio interview with the network he now works for, it was fascinating to hear the ex-announcer disclose this little piece of information from earlier in his career.
