8. Dixie Carter Still Views WWE As Competition

In 2010, Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and Dixie Carter did a lot of talking about the idea of TNA challenging WWE. Generally speaking, most wrestling fans chuckled at the mere suggestion, knowing that WWE has the monopoly on North American wrestling for a reason. Even so, TNA seemed dead set on the idea that they could make some waves. The decision was made to put Impact Wrestling head-to-head with Monday Night Raw, albeit for a short period. The experiment was a disaster, something which was predicted by most before it even happened. There's long been talk that TNA are suckers for ex-WWE performers, signing any they can get their hands on once they leave McMahon land. Speaking with The AP, Carter feels that role has been reversed. During the interview, Dixie stated that WWE are signing more of TNA's ex-performers than ever before. Interestingly, she also referred to WWE as 'the competition', which seems to suggest she still views Vince McMahon's outfit as a viable target.
