2. Manager/Valet

Managers (heels especially) never had it easy. Whether it was Bobby Heenan getting cornered in the ring by pointing babyfaces or Sensational Sherri getting bumped off aprons worldwide, the job of handling a wrestler usually results in some moderate to severe bruising. Heels deal with more risk simply because their habit of interfering in matches constantly lands them on someone's pain radar. Still, even the less common face managers weren't always safe from threats of violence (or in some rare cases, implied rape) by unsavoury and/or amorous opponents. Basically, if you're not in harm's way from time to time, you're not doing enough for your protégé. Underwriter's assessment: Job duties create massive risk of aggravated manhandling; frequently entangled in lopsided physical confrontations. Among the most gratuitously abused non-combatants in subject's entire industry. Core benefits only: not covered for shenanigans, chicanery or monkey business.
