Blasting his way onto WCW television in 1995, it was said that The Giant was the son of another legendary mammoth man, Andre The Giant. For this very reason, Paul Wight - better known now as The Big Show - started feuding with Hulk Hogan, looking for retribution over the events of WrestleMania III. Of course, that last part was never explicitly said, but that was the general idea, one which would be dropped fairly quickly in favour of Wight being his own man. Even after the hokey family story was left well alone, The Giant still feuded with Hogan, and the pair would meet in a 'Monster Truck Match' at Halloween Havoc (you guessed it) in 1995. Coming out of their vehicles, The Giant and Hogan started brawling, before the former ended up falling off the roof of the Cobo Hall. Hogan started freaking out, theorising that his rival must be dead, but The Giant would return later in the night to face Hulk. The announcers covered for this impossibility by saying that he must have fallen into the Detroit River, saving him from certain death.
