While Vince mightve tried his best to blame this unfortunate set of circumstances on bad timing or a lack of communication, the point is, whichever unlucky WWE employee in its legal division faxed those papers must certainly be dealing with Vinces anger right now. By having termination papers faxed to him on his wedding day, it makes the WWE look heartless, and some might even interpret it as a backhanded act of retribution against Punk for how he left the company. Whether or not this is true doesnt really matter in the court of public opinion; the WWEs image was undoubtedly damaged when this incident came to light. If Vince didnt fire that unlucky corporate employee by now, they should consider themselves very lucky. On the other hand, knowing that youre responsible for unintentionally causing so much difficulty for your company, and still having to work there, dealing with the judgmental disapproval of your peers, might be just as bad if not worse. Its bad enough that Punk is basically persona non grata in the WWE by this point; and one individual has to live with that responsibility for the rest of their lives.
