10 WWE Exiles That Need To Return In 2015

2. €˜Stone Cold€™ Steve Austin

Before you complain, there is a reason that Austin isn€™t number 1 on this list. Austin has commented that he believes that he has one last great match in him and, frankly, it is hard to disagree. However, returning superstars of the past have accounted for far too great a portion of WWE€™s business plan over the last few years, with the gilded Gods of old (The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Batista and others) unwittingly stealing the spotlight from fresh, ready stars that need to be pushed now. The WWE that made stars of The Rock, Triple H, Austin and others needed to do so because their top guys had all been wooed away by Ted Turner€™s money. In fact, all the stars of the venerated €˜Attitude Era€™ were created by necessity. The same logic needs to now be applied to the incumbent generation. Having said that, bringing Austin in for one great money-spinning match that gives €˜the rub€™ to a WWE newbie would be a classy way for Stone Cold to bow out, as well as help the company to anoint a major new star. Stone Cold vs. anyone at WrestleMania XXXII would be a draw, but it should not be the main event, that should be a thrilling title matchup, showcasing the two brightest stars in the WWE of 2016, which can win back lapsed fans who paid to see Stone Cold in action one last time. ...But let€™s face it, is there any wrestling fan anywhere in the world that DOESN€™T want to see Stone Cold in action again? Not bloody likely.
