10 WWE Matches Guaranteed To Put A Smile On Your Face

6. Daniel Bryan Vs Batista Vs Randy Orton (WrestleMania XXX)

WrestleMania XXVIII has one of the most poorly received matches in WWE history - Daniel Bryan losing his World Heavyweight Title to Sheamus in 18 seconds. As much of a joke as that match was, it directly led to the Yes Movement, and the indie darling headlining WrestleMania just two years later.

Whether it was all part of the plan or (more likely) a rare example of the WWE listening to the fans, McMahon and co’s messing around of Daniel Bryan made him an overwhelming fan favourite by WrestleMania XXX. He pulls double duty at this event, with his opening match against Triple H a hard-hitting classic.

It’s the finale that truly warms the heart, though. Matching up with company man Randy Orton and Hollywood-conquering Batista, the slighter, and injured, Bryan is the underdog of underdogs, but with the power of the Yes! Movement behind him, he overcomes the odds, tapping out the Animal clean to seize the World Title.

While the immediate championship run wasn’t so great, the performance and fan reaction solidified Bryan as an A+ player, and the match itself remains a great watch.
