10 WWE Questions You Most Want Answered (Oct 4)

Was it right for Charlotte to win at Hell in a Cell?

By Jack G King /

Unbelievably, this week we have a nice balance of topics to cover! We'll take a look at the fallout from Hell in a Cell, happenings on both Raw and SmackDown, cast a few cursory glances ahead towards Survivor Series - a show which really could rejuvenate the PPV as a concept, or prove it to be as lifeless as ever - as well as that opinion-dividing superclash between Brock Lesnar and the returning Goldberg.

As well as these important ongoing issues, we're also going to cover the idea of John Cena breaking Ric Flair's record of 16 world championship reigns, the best ever use of body or facepaint in wrestling, and my personal favourite payoff to a storyline in the modern era.

If this week's spread of questions proves anything, it's that WWE are doing a good job of balancing their brands. Yes, Raw has the superior star quality and timeslot, but the great storytelling and matches over on SmackDown have really boosted the show onto an even playing field. Hopefully the blue brand is allowed to impress at Survivor Series, rather than simply being put back in its place.

As always, thanks to everybody who submitted questions via our official Twitter account (@WhatCultureWWE). Check back next week for your chance to ask again!

10. Should Charlotte Have Won At Hell In A Cell?

Our first question concerns the main event of Hell In A Cell, specifically the result of the match. First I have to commend the effort put in by both women; they both went all-out to live up to their headline billing, and it sucks that a few things didn't go quite as smoothly as everybody hoped (damn tables). Importantly, however, it still had that big match feel.

On the other hand, I didn't agree with the booking at all. Yes, Charlotte now looks like a killer, and whichever babyface knocks her off her perch will get a huge rub (particularly if it's on PPV, where I believe the champ remains undefeated in singles action) - but make no mistake about it, Sasha Banks should have retained.

The title has now bounced between the pair too frequently in just a few months, which is rarely a good look for a top-tier championship, and Sasha perhaps risks looking weak as a result of coming up short again. Additionally, the match was in her hometown of Boston, and the pop she'd have received would surely have helped cement the moment as an iconic one in the history of women's wrestling.
