Pro wrestling stars changed places of occupation between the World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling so often during the 1990s that it was oftentimes difficult to tell the promotions apart on the mid-and-lower cards without having to seriously scan the television for brand logos. Escalating amounts of guaranteed money ultimately caused the hubbub, talents being able to make never before seen (for the industry) amounts of money being a key driver for these frequent talent defections. However, what may be more amazing to consider than anything is that for the literal hundreds of times that talents moved between the WWF and WCW (the usual jump as Ted Turner's wide-open pockets excited low underside guarantee-receiving WWF wrestlers) that there were times that performers failed to make the jump, and oftentimes in staying with the WWF were handsomely rewarded for staying with greater levels of renown. The number of wrestlers who likely considered making the jump are plentiful. However, on the list to follow are a series of performers who in considering, and (through whatever means) failing to make the jump ultimately saw the benefit (or lack thereof) of their considerations. This list covers an intriguing era likely never to be seen again in pro wrestling. Thus, attention must be paid.
