10 WWE Stars Who Are Unhappy Right Now

7. Rusev

You know that meme, of Vince McMahon orgasming in his chair? Play it in reverse, and there you will find Vince McMahon's perception of Rusev.

Rusev debuted as a beloved VKM archetype: the foreign menace. Handsome in the face, old-fashioned in gimmick, and with a bombshell blonde by his side, cross-eyed and in the Vincegar strokes, McMahon rewarded Rusev with an undefeated streak mega push and a high-profile WrestleMania 31 clash with John Cena. He was still feeling hot under the collar in subsequent months, as this feud rubbed up against another of his kinks: a stipulation-heavy, unimaginative PPV trilogy!

His excitement dimmed in the months and years that followed. He settled into a state of piqued interest as Rusev, having survived the League of Nations stable, found a cult popularity with the 'Rusev Day' bit. The crowd support landed Ru-Ru with the United States Championship, which at this point is a toy with which to distract an irritable toddler. Unwilling to maximise Rusev's organic wit, that wit is grim in its absence now.

Lillian Garcia acts as confidante of sorts; in a February episode of her Chasing Glory podcast, the couple despaired over their status. Nothing they do makes a difference. His disposition reflected in his almost intentionally lethargic team with Shinsuke Nakamura, Rusev over the weekend officially declared Rusev Day as "dead".
