10 WWE Stars Who Have Gone AWOL

Are some of these WWE stars ever coming back to Raw, SmackDown or NXT?!

A Triple H-led WWE has yet to properly kick into high gear, but early signs are there that the new creative overseer will try some things Vince McMahon was loathe to. The former boss was guilty of stacking his roster then discarding many like unwanted toys - it was a rinse and repeat strategy which led to huge annual talent culls.

Are those days over? Maybe/maybe not, but it does seem like Trips has a little more patience than his father-in-law. That'll come as a relief to those who are currently posted missing from the active TV lineups or battling their way back from nasty injuries.

To qualify for this list, wrestlers either had to be off-screen for a while (even a few weeks matters in this industry) or in some weird no-man's land waiting to be repurposed. That must be an uneasy place to exist, because there are zero guarantees in WWE and the product moves with lightning speed.

So, where are these men and women? Also, why haven't they been used when they're still on company payroll? Sadly, there are more questions than answers right now...

10. Reggie

The modern-day parkour prince must've been a quiet favourite during Vince McMahon's creative meetings. How else could one explain why he was repeatedly thrust into on-screen romances with Nia Jax and Dana Brooke, or given more focus than any 24/7 Champion not-named R-Truth?

That gravy train is over, or so it seems.

Reggie might still pop up here or there as background noise in WWE, but he's far from an ongoing concern for Triple H. Being fair, the exact same could be said for the tedious 24/7 strap itself. Hunter's disinterest in that could spell disaster for the gymnast and his hopes of bagging another role on the roster.

Reggie's last match was a loss to Shelton Benjamin on 5 September. That was taped for the 8 September edition of Main Event, but so few wrestling fans pay attention to the 'C' show that hardly anybody would have witnessed it.

Spots on the flagship look few and far between for ol' Reg.
