10 WWE Stars Who Have Gone AWOL

EC3 must wonder why the hell he bothered signing his name on WWE's dotted line in January 2018. Since then, aside from living the usual excellence expected from NXT booking, Carter has been paid to work out and wonder when opportunities are coming. He's another who experienced the colossal waste of time main roster life can be.

What was the point of calling him up exactly?

EC3 proved what he could do in Impact Wrestling for years. There, he was a World Title contender who cut lush promos and showed his underrated skills as a heel in-ring. WWE fans who only tune into Raw and SmackDown haven't seen a lick of that; they haven't been allowed to. Carter's lot has been cameo appearances as if he's today's Brooklyn Brawler.

He did win the 24/7 Title in June (whatever's that worth), but it's not enough. EC3 must be hoping that WWE put him back on NXT when the program moves to USA Network. That may be his only hope of making this contract worth the paper it was printed on.
