10 WWE Superstars Who Deserve Better

By Andrew Soucek /

9. Goldust

Sure, WWE fans may never, ever forget the name of Goldust, but sadly his past few months in the company have been pretty forgettable. Just like his half-brother Cody Rhodes, Goldust is painfully misused by WWE. The man has been with WWE in an in-ring capacity longer than just about everyone else on the roster. He€™s also in the best shape of his career at 45-years-old. When he€™s in tag matches with Cody, he receives the bigger reaction despite being unfamiliar to most of the younger fans. He€™s a feel-good success story, but basically booked as just a random guy on the shows these days. What a waste. Over the years, Goldust has cut plenty of bizarre and compelling promos. If he turned heel, he would make a great villain to battle guys like Sheamus and Big E Langston or even against top stars like John Cena and Daniel Bryan. He wouldn€™t have to headline pay-per-views, but he could surely be used for TV programs with bigger names. Unlike a top heel like Batista, fans aren€™t resentful of him. Unlike Randy Orton, fans aren€™t tired of him. He would be a refreshing foe for bigger opponents. He€™s a good wrestler, and a great character, but WWE seems content to have placed in a throwaway tag team. There has to be plenty of other men on the roster who could play that role instead.
