Since winning the Intercontinental Title, Big E has lost cleanly to Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio for absolutely no good reason. It seems to be the curse of the belt these days. Once you win it, youre absolutely worthless in non-title matches. During the build for the No. 1 contenders tournament, hes remained mostly silent. When hes not hanging out with Sheamus at Toys R Us, he isnt doing much of anything. Hes young, powerful and has a good sense of humor. There has to be something for him to do. Unfortunately, it may not be long before he drops the gold. WWE seems more invested in Wade Barrett these days. While thats great for Barrett, who has deserved a solid push for years, Langston may get moved to the side for the time being. Had Big E been booked consistently dominant lately, it would also mean a lot more when Barrett (or someone else) dethrones him. WWE should just let Langston be himself. There arent many cool babyfaces in the company. Give him a chance to appeal to a different segment of the crowd than Cena and Sheamus do. There also arent many African American wrestlers for fans to look up to. Much like Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio were heroes to the Latino demographic, Big E should be pushed to appeal to an audience that WWE rarely caters to. At 28, Big E has years ahead of him, but you have to wonder why creative has been so hot and cold with his push.
