10 WWE Superstars Who Had Vince McMahon By The B*lls
8. Ultimate Warrior
The infamous SummerSlam 1991 stand off...
By July 1991, having lost the WWF Championship to a perceived mid-carder in Sgt. Slaughter, Warrior was fed up with Vince McMahon. McMahon himself had grown tired of the Warrior experiment, where he tried to make the future WWE Hall Of Famer his new face of the company.
The two came face-to-face when Warrior confronted Vince about payoffs he deemed substandard. Warrior felt he had been billed on par with Hulk Hogan for SummerSlam, with the pair teaming in the main event. He felt he should be paid the same as The Hulkster. So ahead of the event, Warrior demanded that McMahon put in writing that the Ultimate one would receive equal terms to Hogan, which included equal pay at pay-per-views they both appeared on, or else he would pull out.
McMahon agreed to Warrior's demands after investing thousands into the headliner already.
Jim Hellwig would be suspended by WWF immediately following SummerSlam and removed from all Titan programming. Despite giving his star written confirmation that he would pay him the same as Hogan, Vince reneged on the promise. He told Warrior that he was nowhere near the level of star that Hogan was.
McMahon then handed Hogan a $15,000 bonus which insured The Hulkster was paid more in the end. Neverthless, Warrior still had McMahon by the b*lls and got what he initially wanted, even if the boss would get his own back in the end.
