The futile debate around the use of referee's son Nicholas at WrestleMania will forever be attached to the 'Monster Among Men's first match on the 'Show Of Shows' proper, but the company could and should have followed the quick wrap-up of the visual gag with something more in keeping with Strowman's usual remit.

Winning Friday's Greatest Royal Rumble wasn't insignificant - the company were sure to generate huge press for the event and were only too happy to put Braun at the front and centre of it. The reality of the reaction has been significantly different though - Strowman barely makes the podium of post-show talking points next to the event's hideous geo-political ramifications and Titus O'Neil engaging in carnal relations with the concrete.

Though he may backdoor into a late Backlash clash, the fact that it'd only be established in a go-home show panic expresses how little thought the creative team have given him domestically. Bulletproof to their bullsh*t - as the Nicholas experiment proved - Braun's aura remains fully in tact, but for how long? There's an argument for binning off current plans to put Brock's belt on him. But then what about wrestling's ultimate third wheel...
