10 WWE Wrestlers John Cena Shouldn't Have Beaten
2. Brock Lesnar
One night removed from WrestleMania 28, Brock Lesnar made his highly anticipated to WWE on Raw and instantly set his sights on John Cena, laying him out with an F-5. Shortly thereafter, they were scheduled to meet in an Extreme Rules match at the April pay-per-view of the same name and in the weeks leading up to the event, Lesnar was in the driver's seat in his feud with Cena.
In coming back to the company after a long absence, Lensar was hot as could be. Even during his previous run, he rarely lost, and this match was seen as a "warm-up" of sorts for him. Not only that, but Cena was fresh off his embarrassing loss to The Rock at WrestleMania and it was far too soon for him to be regaining his mojo.
The two went to war with each other and brutalized their bodies, and although The Beast Incarnate was in control for a majority of the match, it was Cena who scored the winning pinfall. Having him come up short in his first match back was mind-boggling, especially since Cena went on to lose to John Laurinaitis at Over the Limit at the subsequent event.
Contrary to what fans thought at the time, the loss didn't destroy Lesnar's momentum, but it's a booking decision that still doesn't make any sense all these years later.
