10 WWE Wrestlers John Cena Shouldn't Have Beaten

3. Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt was a one-of-a-kind talent, and henceforth, it was imperative that WWE booked him with care at the risk of ruining his mystique early on in his run, and at first, they succeeded in doing that. Along with the rest of The Wyatt Family, he ran roughshod on the roster and dismantled the likes of Kane, Kofi Kingston and Daniel Bryan.

Although there were rumblings in late 2013 of Wyatt going one-on-one with John Cena at WrestleMania 30, it seemed like it was soon to be going to that matchup, but WWE sure didn't think so. At the Royal Rumble event, Wyatt kicked off his feud with Cena by costing him the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the rivalry roared from there.

The actual rivalry wasn't half-bad, but the match they contested at the Show of Shows was mediocre at best. Arguably the hottest star on the scene at that time, there was zero reason why Wyatt should have lost that match, yet he did anyway. WWE gave him his win back at Extreme Rules the following month, but by that point, it was too little too late.

A win over the former WWE champion on the grand stage would have cemented Wyatt as a main event player, and sadly, he hasn't been the same since the loss.
