5. The Miz

It might seem strange to look at 2021 as a bad year for The Miz, what with him winning a second WWE Championship and all that, but it is difficult to look past how blatantly he has been portrayed as, well, a joke. Yes, WWE openly booked a guy as a joke and then made him the top champion in the promotion. WWE gonna WWE!

The years of The Miz being a legitimate main event performer in WWE are long, long gone. Truth being told, his years as a standard-bearer for the second tier championships are likely done as well. If they weren't, being so comprehensively owned by a rapper and an injured NXT guy at WrestleMania was the final nail in the coffin.

The same doesn't apply to John Morrison because the simple story of JoMo ditching Miz for holding him down is as simple as anything. Miz can't ditch Morrison for that reason because we've seen The Miz at this level for a full decade now. 2021 has confirmed, in blood-red ink, what WWE fans have known for the longest time; The Miz is done as a credible in-ring threat.

Still, the guy has had a quite tremendous career, hasn't he?
