10 WWE Wrestlers Who Grossly Under-Achieved In 2017

2. Gallows & Anderson

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson did hold the Raw Tag Team Titles for a two-month spell at the beginning of the year, to be fair.

In fact, they headed into WrestleMania carrying the gold, which fans of the former NJPW duo - who feared that they might not be put to proper use by Vince McMahon - probably would have taken if offered 12 months earlier.

But let's be honest here: apart from that they did very little. After losing their belts to the Hardys in Orlando, they spent much of the rest of the year watching from the sidelines as Sheamus and Cesaro, and then The Shield, took over the Monday night division.

These days, it seems as though they're basically just waiting for the opportunity to reunite with either AJ Styles, Finn Bálor or - in an ideal world - both. But until that happens the company doesn't seem to have much else for them to do, making their decision to leave Japan a difficult one to explain.
