11 New Day WWE Moments We Won’t Soon Forget
4. A Career Rivalry
When the Usos defeated New Day on the 15 December 2025 episode of Monday Night Raw, they unknowingly capped off a decade-old rivalry between 2 of the most decorated tag-teams in WWE history.
Jimmy and Jey Uso had wrestled some form of the New Day dozens of times on television throughout that 11-year period, with the SmackDown Tag-Team Championship changing hands between them 4 times in 2017 along. One of those title changes came inside a highly regarded Hell In A Cell setting. There, The Usos regained the tag gold.
When The Usos were on the cusp of breaking New Day’s tag title record of 483 days, they faced and defeated Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, who tried to play gatekeeper for the record.
Between them, The Usos and New Day have racked up 22 tag title reigns, dominating the latter half of the 2010s and early 2020s.
How far back did their rivalry date? Their first matches featured the New Day in their gospel preacher gimmick and The Usos still wearing their Samoan face paint. That’s aeons ago in wrestling life.
It’s hard to imagine 2 tags in today’s WWE kicking off a decade-long rivalry that sees them trading tag titles, racking up championships and becoming as wildly popular as these 2 acts.
