6. The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass Speak
Listen...listen...are The Acclaimed about to kick Daddy Ass to the curb?
It certainly felt like it during an immeasurably tense stage conversation with Renee Paquette that ostensibly ended with Max Caster and Anthony Bowens wanting Billy Gunn to get the one last title reign he deserved.
They failed at this on Sunday of course, and it hung in the air that the veteran had been responsible for their deflating loss to The House Of Black at Double Or Nothing. Whether or not this will lead to a rematch against Malakai Black, Brody King and Buddy Matthews or Caster and Bowens want to support Gunn in a futile singles pursuit was left unclear, but the subtle implication that they weren't prepared to tolerate another setback bled through.
A group scissor at the end could have just as easy been a sneak attack, and if that's the energy to expect for the duration of this angle, it won't be long before nobody loves The Acclaimed.
