11 WWE Superstars Who Were Given Huge Contracts

9. Rey Mysterio

Whilst it seems like an age since Rey Mysterio was last in a WWE ring, it was only earlier a matter of months ago that he finally left the company. Granted, Rey has had some serious injuries over the last few years (not to mention contract disputes with WWE brass), but he€™s still been taking home a hefty payday whilst out of action. As part of his last WWE contract, which was a 5-year one, Mysterio was taking home a $985,000 downside. On top of this, he had first class travel sorted and was also taking home a fair wedge from merchandise sales. Remember all of those Mysterio masks that used to be dotted throughout arenas? Yep, Rey was getting a percentage of all of those sales. Given how Rey Mysterio last competed for the WWE the day after Wrestlemania 30, and the years prior to that were dotted with injuries and suspensions, the high flyer had one of the most appealing deals in recent memory.
