Whether he's been Mankind, Dude Love, Cactus Jack or himself, Mick Foley has always been one of WWE's most unique personalities. The legend would always pride himself on standing out from the norm in his prime, and that led to some...idiosyncrasies that graced his matches on a regular basis. You'll read about one of them here.

Mick is joined by other top names such as Triple H, The Rock, Kane, Bret Hart, The Miz and more. All of those stars can point towards little bespoke quirks that helped them seem different to others around them on the roster/in the pro wrestling world. Generally, setting oneself apart from all of the other workers vying for fan/office attention in the biz is a cracking idea.

The best thing about some of these traits is that you might only have noticed them subconsciously. Once reminded, they'll leap to the forefront of your brains in a real 'Aha!' moment. Other fans may not have spotted them at all, so good luck rewatching any of your favourite's matches (after finding out a thing or two about their uniqueness) without obsessing over all of their little flourishes pointed out within.

Bespoke bumps, particular ways of selling pain mid-match, spots that no-one else has really plundered to exhaustion, interesting ways of delivering even a humble foot stomp, fascinating ring entrances/exits and more - there's plenty to sink your teeth into. Or tooth, if you've taken some of the lumps Foley has!

Time to celebrate those who go above and beyond to appear exclusive.

12. Damien Sandow’s Wine Glass Mic Technique

WWE squashed poor Damien Sandow's push like the grapes used to make those expensive wines he'd surely savour when appearing as the company's 'Intellectual Saviour Of The (Unwashed) Masses'. It made no sense. Sandow went from winning Money In The Bank 2013 and showing off a leather-bound briefcase to staring at the lights for John Cena and being forgotten about...by the writers, at least. Not the fans.

He watched his main event dreams go up in smoke, but Damien's attention to detail will always be appreciated by those who pay attention to that sort of thing. Whilst adorned in what appeared to be a luxury bathrobe-meets-smoking jacket, Sandow chewed over how pitiful fans were whilst holding the microphone in a fun, unique fashion.

Damien cradled that thing like it was an expensive glass of fine wine, and that was always such a nice touch. The fact that no-one else on the roster took this approach (those brutes held the mic like they were trying to eat the thing in one go!) greatly helped put across how distinguished and different the 'Intellectual Saviour' gimmick was.

It was honestly the most minuscule idea, but it added so much weight to an already-fleshed out character. If only Vince McMahon and his creative cohorts had stayed warm on Sandow's push rather than getting cold feet and hitting the eject button when it mattered most, eh?

No, holding the mic a special way doesn't make someone an automatic headliner, but Damien had plenty to offer overall. He was really, really good at playing that persona. This article sees you, 'Saviour'!
