2. Rick & Kim Reconnected Before He Died

Kimberly said that Rick called her and seemed back to his usual self shortly after he'd left WCW. He said he was single again, and she asked if he’d like to come see her in Charlotte. “Maybe I will”, he answered. Then, the next day, she was at work and got a call to say he’d shot himself. That’s heartbreaking. Kim didn’t think this would ever happen. “Never in a million years”.

That's when she added on the doc that she didn’t even recognise him at the open casket funeral. Neither did his friend Eric, but Anderson had a much different outlook on things. He walked up to the open coffin, looked at a barely recognisable Wilson and muttered that he “told him to go f*** himself - called him an a**hole, because he took the cowards way out”.

Yikes.

Generally, the way Eric veered wildly between serious statements like this and laughing his head off when interviewing for 'Dark Side'? Slightly unnerving. Kimberly cut a much more balanced figure overall. She still misses Rick, but realises that he made his own choices. Even so, she didn't know all of the details about the night he died until she read through some police reports.

Those mapped out the official line on what happened during the final few hours of Rick's life. He'd been dating a stripper called Suci Squires on and off, then things turned ugly. For the record, Suci declined to answer VICE's request to interview her on the show.
