7. Julia Hart Vs Red Velvet
Red Velvet could have done without the knee brace issues she was clearly struggling with at various points, but putting those factors to one side, this was an extremely strong comeback match for both women.
It's been nine months since Velvet last donned the tights in a Dynamite defeat to Jade Cargill, and though Julia Hart was in the ring as recently as one month ago, it was in a damaging TBS Championship defeat against Kris Statlander that threatened to derail the real momentum she'd built en route to the shot.
Those worries were assuaged by a quality TV offering and a follow-up that seemed to drag Velvet into the corrupting mist loreverse with Skye Blue, Willow Nightingale and Stat and Hart themselves. Hart stared down Blue, who didn't blink nor fire off yet more blue goo. Statlander got in the middle of both, but the prevailing threat to her title was left unclear as Nightingale helped Velvet out of harm's way.
Captivating? Not yet. Promising? Absolutely. Practically AEW's version of WWE's Women's Revolution to feature eight women across three segments on the show? Yes!
