11. Welcoming A New (Day) Teammate

New Day has had its outstanding moments as an act throughout the past several years, but even the group€™s most ardent supporters have to admit that they€™ve hit a bit of a rough patch with their antics, being more hit or miss lately. But Sunday, they were on. Kofi Kingston and Big E came out to mourn the loss of Francesca (the trombone) a couple weeks ago, when Xavier Woods came out, blaring on a new trombone, dubbed Francesca II. Xavier said that he couldn€™t mourn the loss of his first trombone because €œa brother€™s got needs.€ That line alone was outstanding, but their take on €œAll gold everything€ also was pretty good, with the trio talking about gold teeth, Goldeneye and even gold unicorns. But even though New Day regularly draws big cheers from smart crowds, Woods is smart enough himself to remember he€™s the bad guy, teasing that he would play Francesca when the crowd chanted for it, only to put the instrument down and declare, €œI play when I want to!€
