For some wrestlers, 2015 was great to them. The New Day rose to new levels of popularity, The Dudley Boyz finally got the WWE return that they long pined for, and before his injury, Seth Rollins became a top star and carried the company on his back for the majority of the year. There were other wrestlers who weren't so lucky, and 2015 was quite cruel to them. Some talent looked set to break out this year, only to become mere afterthoughts. Others received character changes that were so damaging to their careers that they may not ever fully recover from it. Wrestlers like Kevin Owens, Sasha Banks and Charlotte had a disappointing year as their pushes didn't match their talent. Overall, though, they're at least on the main roster and look poised to have lengthy WWE careers, so they're not found here. This list is for the men and women who had no luck at all in 2015. Now let's have some fun and see which WWE wrestlers had the absolute worst year!
12. Erick Rowan

Erick Rowan may not be a great big man worker, but he's a decent one. As 2014 came to a close, WWE gave him a chance to break out as a singles act after Bray Wyatt dissolved the family. He was placed on the babyface side of the Survivor Series elimination match that helped rid the company of The Authority, so it seemed creative had some plans in mind for him. The first episode of Raw in 2015 Rowan was fired. Not in real life, but as part of an angle. Upon being re-hired, he spent the next few months without any storylines, before WWE seemed to give up and just put him back together with Luke Harper. In June, an injury took Rowan out of action until October. When he returned, he had been replaced as the biggest man in the Wyatt Family by Braun Strowman, who was given more credibility than Rowan ever had. After being off of TV for months, his return saw him immediately beaten with a chair, and then pinned later in the night. From a potential upper singles act to a background player, this year wasn't all that kind to Rowan.
