Wade Barrett had to do a series of jobs to a man who was carrying around a plunger. Thats pretty much as low as you can get. In 2010, Wade was in a couple of pay-per-view main events, these days he couldnt carry half the main event on a SmackDown. Despite having a great look and some in-ring ability, theres something about Barrett that management isnt buying into. Multiple times now hes been repackaged, only to be quickly jobbed out. This latest attempt in 2015 felt like the final straw. He won King of the Ring, only to lose week after week when the tournament ended. Why even book him to win it in the first place if that was the plan? Then he was stuck in The Foreign Legion, despite having no momentum coming into the stable. As of now, theres no sign of next year looking any better for him. His days of delivering Bad News, and feeling like he was so close to breaking through are long gone. At 35-years-old, and dealing with another injury, its sad to say that Barrett has already peaked.
