Fans have been split down the middle on John Cena over the last decade. Half of the audience mainly the younger members get behind his positive Never Give Up attitude and see a hero in the 15-time world champion. The other half mostly compiled with the older male portion of the audience, and the hardcore fans have disliked Cena for years due to his stale character and the portrayal of John Cena as this unstoppable Superman-like individual, despite being booked as if hes an underdog in almost every rivalry. The hatred towards Cena has decreased a lot this year, and rightfully so. Hes brought excitement back to the United States Championship, and excluding Royal Rumble and SummerSlam, he hasnt been so involved in the main event scene. Hes also given the likes of Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Cesaro a chance to showcase their skills on Monday Night Raw. That being said, he is still John Cena, and for all the praise that he receives for his various achievements, youll find just as much, if not more hate towards him, and you for supporting him. Especially knowing that hell eventually topple Ric Flairs record for 16 reigns as World Heavyweight Champion.
