13 Worst WCW Botches

By Jack Morrell /

2. A Viciously Inept Kinda Guy

Where do you begin with Sid €˜Vicious€™ Eudy? His promos were often a succession of intense, passionate botches, like the infamous €˜half a brain€™ car crash with Kevin Nash, or the time he asked to recut a flubbed promo and was reminded that they were live and on the air. Then there€™s the WrestleWar: War Games event in February 1991, in which the infamously overgimmicked War Games cage match took place between the Four Horsemen and Sting, Brian Pillman and the Steiners. The match would conclude when Sid attempted a powerbomb on Pillman, somehow forgetting that the low ceiling of the cage would impede the move. His botched powerbomb on Kevin Nash at Starrcade 1999 didn€™t, fortunately, result in an injury€ it was just the ugliest thing you€™ve ever seen, made hilariously so when you factor in that the match was based around the powerbomb. The first wrestler to pull off the move would win.
Finally, there€™s the awful in-ring injury that cut his career short, which we€™ve already covered here. For owners of stern stomachs only.
