Super Bowls: X, XII, XIII WrestleMania: II WrestleMania II set the bar for NFL personalities participating in a sports entertainment event, with six players taking part in a 20-man NFL versus WWF battle royal. But that wasnt the end of NFL involvement in Mania, with football players serving as referees on the outside of the ring during the battle royal. One of those football players/refs was Ed Too Tall Jones, a Dallas Cowboys defensive end who played in three Super Bowls in the 1970s, winning Super Bowl XII in 1978. Interestingly, Jones spent some time in a squared circle, leaving football for a year to box professionally.
