Entirely absent for the recent Undisputed Era split storyline, Bobby Fish went down with an elbow injury while wrestling on a November 2020 episode of NXT. Despite this, Fish wrestled in the titular men's match at TakeOver: WarGames the following month.

Though he was projected to return within a couple of months, this is yet to happen.
