To get there, he would have to get through his own brother-in-law, The British Bulldog, in Davey Boy Smith's home country of 80,000 people at Wembley Stadium. Hart and Smith produced a technical classic. Once again, Bobby Heenan shined on commentary, enhancing each sequence. According to Bret Hart, Bulldog was in terrible physical condition and it was Harts job to string this masterpiece together. Bret calls this match his crowning achievement, and hes got a good argument. WWE had never had a main event with two elite workers on one of their major PPVs. After this, it would become commonplace. Who was the crowd cheering? Although Vince clearly says he thinks Bret and Davey were equalsit was Bulldog, the ovation doesnt lie.
