It had to be done, really. After crowds brutalized Roman Reigns for weeks and months leading up to WrestleMania 31, there was really no way that they could put such a polarizing figure over at WrestleMania for the WWE Championship. After Brock Lesnar had spent the previous two years rebuilding his image as an invincible killing machine, would WWE really squander that on a man the crowd vehemently hated? After Lesnar deposited Reigns with a fourth F5, Rollins' generic System of a Down-esque music hit, and the fans erupted. Sprinting down the ramp, Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase, and pinned Reigns with the Curb Stomp after an elaborate final sequence. Sometimes, the shocking WrestleMania moments truly are pleasant.
