11. Randy Orton Survives The Triple Threat (WrestleMania 24)
On the McMahon depth chart, for as loved as Randy Orton is, he still finishes a distant third place to son-in-law Triple H and resident cash cow John Cena. As Orton had reigned with the WWE Championship for almost six months headed into WrestleMania 24, it seemed like prime time to switch champions. The only question seemed to be who among the other duo would win it. That's why it was startling when Orton nailed Helmsley with the running punt, then turned and pinned the unconscious Cena (who Helmsley had Pedigreed) to retain his title. The positive reaction from the crowd to Orton's win (Orton was the only heel in the match) indicates jubilation for a defaulted underdog.
