15 New Directions For WWE After WrestleMania 42
13. Becky Lynch Dropping Her Belt Pronto
Becky Lynch is now a 3x Women’s Intercontinental Champion, and the AJ Lee run is over. There'd be no need for more matches between this pair even if AJ didn't look to be taking another sabbatical, but there could well be something to Becky vs. Jessika Carr if WWE stops to think about it. Fans around ringside for 'Mania seemed to want Carr to put 'Big Time Becks' in her place, at least.
Failing that, start feeding Lynch some younger stars. To that point, it's possible that someone like Sol Ruca starts her full-time run on the main roster by beating Becky for the belt on the Raw after WrestleMania. That'd be a fabulous way to reintroduce Sol and properly get her going as someone people should pay attention to.
Ruca is certainly a better option than Paige, for example. At first, this writer believed that Paige would launch her comeback on Raw and take AJ out just like she did back in 2014 after 'Mania XXX. That won't happen now - Nikki Bella's injuries accelerated Paige's return. So, the Women's IC is Lynch's title to lose, and lose it she will sooner rather than later.
It'd be a bit of a surprise if this third run was lengthy, put it that way.
Becky eating humble pie and having her title celebrations cut short in front of a rowdy post-'Mania crowd (hopefully) on Monday night should show just how determined Triple H is to build fresh stars coming out of 42. Sol is perfect for that sort of role.
