Pointedly going on last to inform the audience that it's Tommaso Ciampa - even more than main roster escapee Finn Bálor - that remains the true imminent threat to Adam Cole's throne, this served to put the 'Psycho Killer' immediately back in the topline picture whilst leaving Cole's prophecy in disarray.

Now with two high level challengers, Cole found himself with double the problems at the end of this edition of the show as he did going into it.

Resetting the board in this major closing angle, NXT lined up this eventual singles skirmish but also the possibility (and probability) of a series of multi-man battles featuring the Undisputed Era and an as-yet-unconfirmed gang of babyfaces looking to stop them.
