Sato (above, left) was the man that the aforementioned Paul Diamond replaced as Pat Tanakas partner. While teaming with Tanaka, he introduced American wrestling fans to the Sitout Powerbomb, which has since become a popular signature and finishing maneuver for many Superstars. As part of the Orient Express, he was gaining more attention because his manager, Mr. Fuji, managed both the Orient Express and Demolition. However, the Orient Express was vastly disadvantaged due to the sheer size difference between the teams. Sato only made two PPV appearances for the WWF, both of them losses. The first was to the team of Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Nikolai Volkoff, and the second to Sgt. Slaughters team The Mercenaries. He eventually retired in 1996, after a short tour with the Japanese promotion WAR, ending his 26-year wrestling career.
