As hilarious as this is, on occasion it can work. In 1998, the WWF visited London for the Capital Carnage Pay-Per-View, and bad boy football player Vinnie Jones was invited to partake in the madness. Known as a hard man locally, Jones looked tiny compared to the stars of wrestling, but hilarity ensued when he was shown a red card by Gerald Brisco during a four-way main event. Jones was playing the role of ringside enforcer, but was 'sent off' once he decided to get involved. It might sound incredibly corny, but the fans were red hot for the thought of one of their own mixing with the WWF.
