Forget the lad who strolls around with the cane on Raw, because Edge just became WWE's MVP.

His performance on the latest SmackDown was a tour de force from opening promo about Roman Reigns to show-ending (and chair-assisted) submission on Jimmy Uso. Did you spot a little hidden gem in amongst all that chatter about Money In The Bank and WrestleMania regrets though? Did you?

Only those who were really paying attention would've noticed that Edge emphasised one word during his verbal salvo. Maybe this fan's mind is playing tricks on him (that's possible), but it did seem like the Canadian was f*cking with everyone's brains by teasing that The Rock's WWE comeback is imminent.

Other sneaky moments from Smackers included a rare Braun Strowman sighting, Pat McAfee randomly mentioning an iconic tag-team, ThunderDome fans screwing up their faces at the prospect of yet another Bianca Belair vs. Bayley match and more.

Then, there were mammoth bumps, graphics that prioritised college sports over WWE championships, subtly ace heel moments aided by the production team and...Michael Cole remembering a match that literally nobody else will.
