2 Injured WWE Wrestlers Finally Return To The Ring
Two WWE absentees (one short-term, one medium) returned to the ring this weekend.
Two of WWE's most popular wrestlers are back in the ring following injury layoffs.
Becky Lynch and Xavier Woods return to action at separate house shows on Saturday, 12 March, having seemingly been cleared to compete after suffering issues of differing severity.
Lynch's comeback match saw her team with Doudrop, Queen Zelina, and Carmella in Columbus, Georgia. They faced Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, and Bianca Belair in a four-on-three handicap match, taking the loss. Prior to this, the reigning Raw Women's Champion hadn't wrestled since suffering what she described as a "fractured voice box" while competing on a 6 March live event, which sidelined her for the following night's episode of Raw.
Becky is expected to be back on television for tonight's episode of Raw.
Elsewhere, Woods teamed with New Day partner Kofi Kingston to face Ridge Holland and The Usos in a SmackDown Tag Team Championship Triple Threat. This was in Jackson, Mississippi, and was Xavier's first bout since the 7 January episode of SmackDown.
Woods later revealed that he had suffered an undisclosed injury while hitting a DDT in the 7 January match, sidelining him for an estimated 4-6 weeks. His return came just 24 hours after stablemate Big E suffered a broken neck while competing on the 11 March episode of SmackDown.
