20 Best WWE Matches Of The Decade (So Far)

17. Smackdown Money In The Bank Ladder Match - Money In The Bank 2011

One of the best opening matches of all-time, the Smackdown MITB ladder match served as the kick off one of the greatest wrestling PPVs ever, too. Money in the Bank 2011 was just awesome in so many ways. One of the many highlights was the opener, which featured Daniel Bryna, Sheamus, Sin Cara, Cody Rhodes, Kane, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater and Wade Barrett. That's some impressive star power. It was a match that literally anyone (well, maybe not Slater or Gabriel) could have won, since they were all receiving decent pushes and WWE had plans for them in the future. Of all the potential winners, however, Bryan was probably at the bottom of the list. Most suspected Sheamus or Barrett to walk out victorious. But it was the 'Flying Goat's' night, as he secured the briefcase, signalling the beginning of his ascent to the top. The decidedly smarky crowd had a collective orgasm when Bryan won. The match was a barnburner, a thirty minute bump fest that absolutely breezed by. The sickest moment was provided by Sheamus powerbombing Cara through a ladder, snapping it (and Cara) in half.
