20 Dumbest Wrestler Names EVER (...That We Absolutely LOVE)

5. Tripp Bradshaw

Ready for a cheeky little rib?

Tripp Bradshaw lost to Brian Kendrick on the 24 January 2017 edition of 205 Live. You almost definitely don't remember the match, episode or much to do with journeyman Palmer Cruise's time in WWE at all. However, if he was only on TV for a short spell, then why didn't the promotion stick with Palmer Cruise? That sounds like an enhancement talent name anyway.

They wanted to gently prod JBL and make fun of him, that's why. Layfield was on commentary for the 17 January SmackDown, and he left the announce position to check on a downed Jerry Lawler during a ‘King’s Court’ segment with Dolph Ziggler. In a rush but never looking where he was going, John tripped and fell over before entering the ring.

You can just picture the Gorilla Position in uproar when that happened. It's the kind of error that Vince McMahon would deem 'good s***'. A week or so later, young Cruise was changed to Tripp Bradshaw so the backstage joking at JBL's expense could continue. It was all in good fun, and even Layfield himself would've had a laugh about it.

It isn't like he'd tripped and brained himself on the ringside steps, or something horrible like that. Look out for a journeyman/woman called Tripp Barrett if Wade does something similar. Or, maybe 'Slipp Cole' could be a new one-off rap gimmick for someone on Main Event if Michael Cole wears the wrong shoes when walking down the WrestleMania ramp.

Just call him Mandy Rose!
