10. Vince McMahon Vs. Mick Foley (WrestleMania 17)
Among Foley's regrets during the course of his storied career, he rues not accepting a match with McMahon when it was proposed to him. Foley had officially been retired for one year at the time, and was sticking to his word. He did, however, agree to play guest referee for what the match would actually become. The Vince vs. Shane McMahon match tied together the purchase of WCW, Vince's mistreatment of wife Linda, mistreatment of mistress Trish Stratus, and his firing of Commissioner Foley in one deliciously-overbooked package, so it's hard to argue with what we got instead. Still, given what Vince is willing to take as comeuppance in order to enthrall the audience, the idea of him trying to survive a hardcore war with Foley is a tempting one.
