Accounts of this story vary, but there's always some combination of Triple H vs. punishing linebacker Lewis therein. Given the timing, Lewis would have been coming off a win in Super Bowl 35, in which he was the game's MVP. It would have also come a year after Lewis was charged in a double-homicide in the Atlanta area, so the media attention and controversy would have been to Attitude Era WWE's liking. The Rock's version of the story is that he would've teamed with Lewis (his former teammate as a Miami Hurricane) against Triple H and an unspecified heel. Scheduling could not be worked out, and Triple H had to settle (as if that's the word) with working against Undertaker. It begs the question if WrestleMania 17 would have been as legendarily epic as it is with these alterations.
