10. Bret Hart Writes "W.C.W" In The Air At Survivor Series 1996
Besides submitting to his own finisher, spitting at and knocking out Vince McMahon, and generally being reduced to much less than one of the greatest WWF champions of all time in his then-WWF/E in-ring swan song, there's a largely forgotten huge moment in the Montreal Screwjob. When Bret Hart writes the letters "WCW" in the air implying that's where he's headed to ply his trade, it's the end of an era, and a major sign that things had changed. The equivalent of showing the "Curtain Call" to a global pay-per-view audience, it may be the saddest mention of WCW to a WWF fan to that point in the Attitude era.
