Planeta Wrestling recently reported that WWE plan to air a special Latin American tournament on the Network this Summer. Details are scarce (WWE themselves haven't even announced the thing yet), but that hasn't stopped our imaginations from wondering who the promotion might include in the brackets.

Wrestlers from countries like Chile, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Puerto Rico and beyond would be eligible to enter, and there's a good chance we'd see some old favourites wheeled out in the earlier rounds. The 205 Live roster is also rife with under-utilised Latino talent that could really do with a fresh platform to showcase what they can do.

This could be just the ticket for guys like Sin Cara, Gran Metalik and more.

Recent shows in Argentina and Chile were a success for WWE. That recent prosperity in South America and the fact WWE are still on the hunt for another major Latin American star means the tournament is a no-brainer. The question is: who should enter, and why should they be considered?

20. Rocky Romero (Cuba)

Having only worked as a guest trainer at WWE's Performance Center and never as an in-ring performer, 35-year old Rocky Romero is a fine example of somebody who has managed to earn a great living for himself outside of Vince McMahon's kingdom. He's been everywhere, from his native Cuba and Mexico to ROH and New Japan, since debuting over 20 years ago in 1997.

That experience would be invaluable to this Latin American tournament. Romero told Sean Waltman on the X-Pac 1, 2, 360 podcast that he turned down a full-time gig at the PC because he wants to continue wrestling. This could be his chance to do that in WWE without any strings attached.

While he's there, if Rocky could recommend Roppongi 3K to WWE that'd be great. Sho and Yoh deserve the attention for their work in New Japan.
